Yamato creates his pottery along with his son at “Meizen-Gama” in Yamaguchi City. His tea bowls, all-purpose cups and other tea ware available for use at the Café are cherished for their elegance conceived from the dynamism of cracking entwined with the refinement of sprayed powder.

1983 Selected for the Japan Traditional Kogei Exhibition (and 4 other times thereafter)
1994 Certified as a full-fledged member of Nihon Kogeikai (later withdrew in 2002)
1994 Won the grand prize of the “Tea Ceremony Arts Exhibition” of the Tanabe Museum of Art Won the NHK Award of the Nihon Kogeikai Yamaguchi Branch Exhibition
1996 Won the YAB Award of the Nihon Kogeikai Yamaguchi Branch Exhibition
