A potter most constantly on the move among the widely active artists abounding in Shigaraki. Engages energetically in social interaction with artists both at home and abroad, and as such his artwork gives off the aura of stylistic fusion.

Personal History
1970 Born in TambaSasayama City (formerly Sasayama City), Hyogo
1992 Graduated from Okayama University
1993 Engaged in apprenticeship at a Tamba Tachikui ware pottery maker
1994 Began creating pottery as artist-in-residence at the Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park in Shiga Employed by a Shigaraki ware pottery maker in the same year
1996 Became an independent artist in Shigarakicho-Kinose
2001 Relocated his pottery studio to Shigarakicho-Miyamachi
2001 and 2002 Attended the I.W. Conch workshop (Florida, USA)
2002 Created Otsubo (large vase) at the Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park
2004 and 2005 Held workshops in Yeoju, South Korea
2005 Held a workshop and special exhibition at The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston
2008 Organized and exhibited artwork at Art Event “Shigaraki Act 2008 - Walk, Peer In, Discover -” Held a summer intensive course at the Jilin College of the Arts in Changchun, China
2009 Organized “Shigaraki Act 2009 - Tsuchitsunagi -”
2010 Organized and exhibited artwork at “Shigaraki Act 2010 - Balance/Unbalance -”
2012 Organized and exhibited artwork at “Shigaraki Act 2012”
